Happy Father's Day!
Here are two pictures I took of Kirby and Pearson today at lunch. Pearson was so sweet! He would say, "I love you, Dad.", "Happy Father's Day, Dad.", and "I'm sitting by my Dad!" So, I had to take a picture. The first picture is good of Kirby, but Pearson looks a little crazy. The second picture caught Kirby talking and Pearson looking a whole lota crazy. (Note to self: Never again tell a two year old to smile at the camera.)

Summertime in the Burbs
Pearson is always the first one in the golf cart when we are going to the pool. I guess he is afraid we will forget to take him?
Pearson was not impressed with the water mushroom at first. He stood in it and said (in disgust), "Mom, it's a shower." He did eventually play in it, though. But only when Kirby and I wouldn't let him go back in the swimming pool the second he swallowed his last bite of dinner.

Things To Do When You Are Sick
Pearson had a fever this weekend and was complaining of a sore throat. He was a little fussy from time to time, but otherwise seemed fine. We were all a little stir-crazy by Sunday afternoon. So, we HAD to figure out something to do to pass the time. We decided to ride the golf cart to the golf course and let Pearson and Oso run off some energy.
Things To Do When You Are Sick #2: Run in circles, jump, and scream at random things on the course.
Things To Do When You Are Sick #3: Find golf balls.
Things To Do When You Are Sick #4: Taunt Oso with said golf ball.
Things To Do When You Are Sick #5: Walk with Daddy and Oso.
Things To Do When You Are Sick #6: Look at how happy Oso is.
Things To Do When You Are Sick #7: Check out the scenery.

Conversation At Naptime
Me: Pearson, quit crying, close your mouth, close your eyes, and go to sleep.
Pearson (P): Mom, I can't close my mouth, I am not done cryin'! I still cryin'! I cannot close my mouth when I cryin'!
Me: Fine, when you are finised crying, close your mouth and go to sleep. Okay?
P: Okay, Mom.
Pearson (P): Mom, I can't close my mouth, I am not done cryin'! I still cryin'! I cannot close my mouth when I cryin'!

And More Swimmin'
Pearson does not like to float! Every time he swims to the stairs he stands on his little step and announces "I don't want to float anymore" or "I just want to swim" or "I'm done floating". Michelle just smiles a little that's-what-you-think smile. She never lies to him (she is very good at making sure she doesn't lie) but she definitely gets her way. I think Pearson's stubbornness may have met it's match (if that's even possible). Here are some videos from today's lesson.
