Don't Touch the Power Lines

Pearson loves to climb. He climbs or attempts to climb everything. While we drive down the road he will look out the window and point out tall things and tell me he wants to climb them. The other day he asked me what was out his window, he was pointing to the power lines. It told him you can't climb them or touch them and explained to him why. Yesterday he noticed the power lines again and this is the conversation that followed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pearson (P): I cannot touch the power lines.
Me: No, you can't .
P: I will dieb (that's kin to die)?
Me: Yes, you could get hurt and die.
P: I would be ceased (that's kin to deceased)?
Me: Yes, you would be deceased.
(Long pause accompanied by a puzzled look on P's face.)
P: You will flush me down the toilet?
Me: No, I would not flush you down the toilet.
P: Why?
Me: You wouldn't fit.
P: Why?
Me: You are too big.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I guess that's what we get for letting P flush his fish when it became "ceased".

It's Potty Time

It took us almost three months, but Pearson finally filled up his potty chart with stickers! Once a row is filled up, all the way across, with stickers Pearson gets a prize. He is actually starting to get the hang of it. He has not worn a diaper, except at bedtime, in over a week.

I Would Like That To Go, Please

Pearson and I drove to church last night with the back windows of the car rolled down. He loves it when the weather it warm enough to ride with the windows down. Below is what Pearson yelled out his window, as we were driving down the road.

"I want a hamburger, french fries, and chocolate milk." "Okay, here is my money." (Throwing his imaginary money at the open window.) "Yeah, and chocolate milk." "Uh oh, where is my money?" "I throw it to the lady."

Pearson and his Daddy

Kirby has just gotten home and has brought Wendy's for dinner, which includes chocolate milk for Pearson to drink.

Pearson (P): I am so proud of you, Daddy! (Pearson hugging Kirby's leg.)
Kirby (K): Thanks, buddy. You are? Why?
P: Thank you, Daddy. I am so proud of you for bringing me chocolate milk!

P: I am so proud of you, Daddy! (Pearson hugging Kirby's leg.)
K: You are?
P: Yeah, you made me a peanut butter sandwich. I am so proud of you!
